Reflect On The Past Year + Your Current Reality
Before you begin to build your vision board, you must reflect on the past year and your current reality.
This is a crucial part when you are learning how to make a vision board that works.
In order to create a vision board that is aligned with your goals and effective at helping you achieve them, it is important to be honest with yourself about where you are and where you want to be.
I recommend journaling and meditating to help you reflect before building your vision board
Here is a list of possible journal prompts to help you reflect during this step:
- What do I want more of in the next year? Less of?
- What version of myself am I ready to step into?
- What areas of my life need attention to create my dream life?

How to Find Vision Board Inspiration on Pinterest (The Right Way)
Pinterest is hands down the BEST place to gather images for your vision board!
First, make a new Pinterest Board for your vision board. (Ex. Vision Board 2026)
Search for photos, aesthetics, routines, environments, and quotes that match the life you’re working toward. I like to find photos for each main area of my life for an overall vision.
Think of keywords like “business owner aesthetic,” “calm morning routine,” “healthy lifestyle,” or anything tied to your priorities.
You should focus on the feelings that these images evoke, and how they relate to your priorities and goals.
