I spent years repeating the same cycle every New Year until I realized it wasn’t a motivation issue; I didn’t have the right systems or tools in place to help me create a life I love.
And in this post, I’m rounding up my favorite New Year tools for planning my year, getting organized, and sticking to my resolutions and goals.

Most people start the new year with a fresh calendar, a new planner, and hope for a more organized life, but they often go unused.
It’s not the planner’s fault; it’s the system you have in place that doesn’t work.
I must admit, I go crazy over planners and calendars. There’s just something about putting pen to paper that helps me feel so organized and motivated to achieve my goals.
This is the planner and calendar setup I come back to every single year, and it all starts with a good planner.
My Go-To Planners
You’ll see I use multiple calendars and planners in this post, but a regular monthly planner is the most important for organizing the entire year.
This is the planner I take everywhere! It’s what I use to plan ahead, map out the month, set weekly schedules, and keep everything all in one place.
There are so many different types of planners, and it’s important to find a style you like!
Personally, I like planners like this! (Also, TJ Maxx is a great place to look for planners!)
The other type of planner I like to use is a weekly planner notepad!
Every week, I use this to break down my daily to-dos, plan weekly goals and priorities, and time block my days.
Having a dedicated weekly planner helps me get really detailed without cluttering my main planner.
Wall Calendars
One of my favorite additions to my planning routine has been THIS wall calendar from GoodTuesdayUK on Etsy.
I have bought this same calendar for FOUR years in a row at this point.
I seriously love it so much, and it stays in our dining room, where my husband and I review and add to it regularly.
Not only is this wall calendar a great way to see your year as a whole, but it is also such a cute decor piece!
Functional and aesthetic is always a win!

While I love paper planners and wall calendars, I know they’re not for everyone. If you prefer digital planners, this is the one I’ve had my eye on for a long time.

I love that you can mount it or have it on the counter. Getting one of these for my kitchen is top priority on my wishlist this year!

Planning your schedule is one thing, but having a routine that helps you reset and reflect is what makes sure you accomplish your goals.

This is one of those simple tools that makes a big difference. I like having a visual way to track my daily habits because it keeps me accountable without overcomplicating things.

Hatch Alarm Clock
Mornings (and nights) set the tone for my entire day, and this is one of those tools that supports your routines without requiring extra effort, making it soooo easy to incorporate.
I love that the Hatch focuses on gentle wake-ups and better sleep, which makes building a consistent routine feel a lot more doable.

Let’s be honest: meal prepping and planning can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be! In fact, it can make life so much easier when you are busy and don’t want to cook or grab fast food.
It all starts by making a meal plan and a grocery list.
I like to plan out dinners specifically, then buy basic breakfast items, and 1-2 lunch options.
You don’t have to meal prep everything! We normally only meal prep our lunches and some snacks each week!
I love using a meal planner and grocery list note pad for this, especially if it can stick to our refrigerator!

Yoga Mat + Towels
As someone who loves yoga and goes to my local hot yoga studio regularly, having my own mat and towel is a must! Yoga is a great beginner-friendly way to connect with your body and mind, and I recommend it to everyone!
